addicted to : camembert


why didnt anyone introduce this awesome heavenly stuff to me ever before? of all people, ME who love food (well, except cheese) have NOT tasted camembert before until last friday night.

i have tried brie and blue cheese and never really get the hang of it….and camembert is entirely different from them all.

the cheese as a whole has like this powdery coating outside, but once cut open, the cheese is soft. unlike others where its quite hard, this one is actually quite easy to spread onto bread and crackers and the best part is….it taste like melted cheese.

those who have not had it, go to your nearest supermarket, buy a 100gram (no, make that 200gram) and grab yerself a pack of baked crackers, sit in front of the tv with your fav tv show (may i recommend the lost room? hehe) and just melt away~

btw, any other cheese recommendations out there that i SHOULD try? πŸ˜›

    Looks tasty, and kind of reminds me of the ewe’s milk cheese my wife and I really enjoyed in Portugal.

    In terms of cheese, I can’t get enough of extra, extra sharp cheddar (usually to be found in black packaging) or smoked Gouda… but Gouda can be really hit or miss… But when it it’s done right, it’s my crack. πŸ™‚
